Rives Croissance has acquired a stake in Maison Medelys, a leading B2B distributor of gourmet food products, as part of a strategic initiative to drive growth and innovation within the company.
Target Information
Founded in 1987 by Florence Hardy, Maison Medelys is a leading player in the B2B distribution of gourmet and high-end food products aimed at chefs both in France and internationally. The company boasts a unique strategic positioning at the International Market of Rungis in Île-de-France, the world's largest wholesale market for fresh produce. With a dedicated team of around 30 employees, Maison Medelys achieved a remarkable turnover of over €12 million in 2023.
Over the years, Maison Medelys has expanded its offerings to include high-quality products from renowned brands, sourced from short supply chains, as well as its own private label products. These private labels enjoy a strong reputation among chefs, including Medelys Esprit de Qualité (historically offering rare products dedicated to chefs), Essentiels Chefs (providing essential cooking items at competitive prices), and Épicerie Flo (gourmet products developed with artisan partners for retailers).
