About

An honest data product for an honest market.

Dealert exists because the people who actually work lower middle-market deals — advisers, sponsors, corporate development — cannot justify the seat licence of Capital IQ or PitchBook, but still need structured, defensible transaction data every day.

Why we built it

Most M&A data products were designed for the bulge bracket and priced accordingly. The result: anyone running a £30m carve-out or a €120m platform buyout works from a patchwork of press releases, half-remembered precedents, and screenshots from a friend's terminal.

That isn't sustainable for the work people actually do. So we built a deal database with the structural discipline of an institutional reference set, but with pricing and access designed for the boutique advisory, the sub-€500m fund, and the in-house deal team of three.

What we won't do

We will not gate the methodology. We will not blur the line between disclosed and estimated values to inflate coverage. We will not sell "leads" or run a contact-export business on top of the data. The product is the data, the structure, and the methodology — nothing else.

What's next

Coverage continues to deepen in the EU and North America through 2026. The pipeline for H2 includes the comparable-set engine going to v2 (sponsor-specific multiples), public-comps integration, and an API for firms that want to wire Dealert into internal valuation tooling.

How we think about the work.

"A database is only as good as the rules for what enters it."

— from the methodology revision notes

"If the user has to read a footnote to trust the number, the footnote belongs in the column."
