Carrefour Group has acquired Dejbox, a digital lunch delivery service aimed at suburban employees, to enhance its food service offerings and accelerate growth.
Target Information
The Carrefour Group has announced its strategic acquisition of Dejbox, a pioneer in providing lunch delivery services specifically designed for employees in suburban areas. Founded in 2015 by talented entrepreneurs Adrien Verhack and Vincent Dupied, Dejbox presents a digital canteen solution that allows employees to receive their lunch delivered for free at their workplace. Customers can select from a wide variety of fresh, seasonal dishes priced similarly to traditional meal vouchers, ranging from €5.90 to €8.90.
Dejbox operates in major cities such as Lille, Lyon, Paris, Bordeaux, Nantes, and Grenoble, as well as in numerous surrounding towns. The company successfully delivers more than 400,000 meals each month, thanks to a dedicated workforce of over 300 employees, including 140 delivery personnel. This staffing approach sets Dejbox apart from other meal delivery platforms that primarily rely on freelance couriers.
