The WISAG Catering Holding GmbH & Co. KG has successfully acquired the coffee bar brand chicco di caffè as of the start of the new year. With a workforce of 300 employees and 142 cafes located in various settings such as corporate offices, hospitals, and universities, chicco di caffè is recognized as the market leader in the coffee bar sector within the communal catering industry in Germany. The previous majority owner of chicco di caffè was Paragon Partners, a Munich-based private equity firm. Following this transaction, WISAG has taken full ownership of chicco di caffè.
Chicco di caffè will now operate as an independent brand under the WISAG Catering Holding umbrella. The existing management team, comprising Ralf Meyer and Manuel Müller, will continue to lead the operations of the company. This acquisition establishes chicco di caffè as the fourth business pillar within WISAG Catering, which includes operational catering, healthcare catering, and event catering.
