Target Information
Travelodge, the UK's pioneering budget hotel brand, has successfully completed the acquisition of its sixth and final hotel in Spain, the Travelodge Barcelona Cornella Fira. This hotel features 138 rooms and will be operated by Travelodge under a long-leasehold arrangement. This latest acquisition is part of a larger deal established earlier this year with Louvre Hotels Group, which included five other hotels located in key Spanish cities such as Alicante, Madrid, Malaga, and Murcia. With this acquisition, Travelodge's portfolio in Spain now expands to a total of 12 hotels.
Travelodge's entry into the Spanish market has proved to be fruitful, and the brand has plans to double its presence in the country by signing additional agreements for new hotel constructions. Jo Boydell, CEO of Travelodge, emphasizes the strategic importance of the Spanish market for the brand's growth trajectory and operational strategy.
