Founded in 1996, Supermercados BH has experienced continuous growth and consistent expansion, establishing itself among the largest supermarket chains in Brazil. Currently, the company ranks as the fourth largest in the National ABRAS Ranking and holds a significant leadership position in Minas Gerais. Recently recognized by the residents of Espírito Santo as the most admired brand in its sector, Supermercados BH is integrating stores acquired from the Bretas network, a deal announced in February 2025 involving 54 supermarket locations, eight fuel stations, and a distribution center, totaling R$ 716 million.
With a network comprising 395 active stores, including 351 locations in 128 municipalities across Minas Gerais and 41 stores in 11 municipalities in Espírito Santo, Supermercados BH plays a vital role in the economy and social development of the regions it serves, providing over 44 thousand direct jobs. To keep pace with its expansion, the company has inaugurated a new logistics complex in Contagem, Minas Gerais, covering 420,000 m² with 180,000 m² of built area dedicated to product storage and distribution. This facility is designed to optimize the supply chain and support growth strategies.
