Grupo Bimbo, a prominent Mexican bakery conglomerate, has announced its intention to acquire Wickbold, a leading Brazilian company in the baking sector. The deal, which is still subject to regulatory approvals, was made public on Friday. Though financial details have not been disclosed, the acquisition encompasses Wickbold's well-known brands, including Wickbold® and Seven Boys®, along with four manufacturing facilities situated in the southern and southeastern regions of Brazil.

This acquisition strengthens Grupo Bimbo's footprint in the Brazilian market, where it already operates several recognized brands such as Pullman, Rap10, Plusvita, and the famous Ana Maria cakes.
