SLC Agrícola has announced the acquisition of Sierentz Agro Brasil Ltda., a deal valued at $135 million (approximately R$ 776 million), which was officially communicated to the financial market on March 7. The announcement was made during a webinar featuring CEO Aurélio Pavinato, CFO Ivo Brum, and Financial Manager Rodrigo Gelain. Sierentz is involved in the production of soybeans, corn, and other agricultural products, as well as livestock farming through an integrated crop-livestock system (ILP).
The operations of Sierentz are entirely based on leased lands in the states of Maranhão (MA), Piauí (PI), and Pará (PA), encompassing approximately 96,000 hectares. Specifically, the land distribution includes around 68,000 hectares in Maranhão, 18,000 hectares in Piauí, and 10,000 hectares in Pará. This acquisition allows SLC Agrícola to expand its agricultural footprint significantly and enhance its production capabilities.
