Stena Adactum has acquired a majority stake in Alpegro AS, enhancing its position in the Norwegian garden center market through its subsidiary Plantehallen AS.
Target Company Overview
On April 29, Stena Adactum acquired a majority stake in Alpegro AS, which fully owns Plantehallen AS. Alpegro was founded by Rolf Baisgård and Albertjan van den Burgt, both of whom possess extensive industry experience. Following the acquisition, the founders will retain minority ownership.
This acquisition allows Stena Adactum, which also owns 100% of Blomsterlandet in Sweden, to establish a presence in the Norwegian market for garden centers. The goal is to develop a retail network across multiple cities in Norway over the coming years. Plantehallen currently operates its first garden center in Lørenskog, just outside Oslo.
