Quantum Capital Partners (QCP) has announced the acquisition of 100% of the shares of Stadlbauer Marketing & Vertrieb GmbH (SMV) from the Stadlbauer family. SMV, known for its prestigious Carrera brand, is the global leader in slot car racing and is recognized for producing high-quality, detailed products equipped with the latest technologies. Apart from slot car racing, SMV also develops and distributes a wide range of remote-controlled toys such as cars, planes, drones, and boats under the Carrera RC brand.
The newly formed group consisting of the brands Carrera, Revell, Pustefix, and Schildkröt boasts a combined revenue of approximately EUR 130 million. SMV will be managed by Mr. Stefan Krings, who will also continue as the Managing Director of Revell GmbH. He, alongside the existing management team, will oversee day-to-day operations at SMV. Dr. Norbert Frömmer will remain as Managing Director in the Stadlbauer Group, while the Stadlbauer family will provide advisory support to the group.
