Panostaja acquires a majority stake in Lenio to facilitate accelerated growth and enhance operational capabilities in the mobile workforce management sector.
Target Information
Lenio, a software company founded in 2013 and based in Tampere, has made significant strides in becoming a frontrunner in mobile workforce operations management. The company's central focus has remained on developing optimal products tailored to meet the unique needs of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), aiming to genuinely create value by addressing customer challenges. CEO Simo Mäkinen emphasizes the crucial role of understanding customer needs in driving the business: "Everything we do is guided by customer needs and how to make their daily lives easier. Without that understanding, there would be no business at all."
The origins of Lenio can be traced back to the teenage friendship between its founders, Simo Mäkinen and Jyrki Saario, who both had extensive backgrounds in the business sector before embarking on their entrepreneurial journey. Prior to starting Lenio, both Mäkinen and Saario accumulated over 15 years of experience in sales and technology respectively, as well as having worked together in the same company during the early 2010s, where the idea of establishing a joint venture was first conceived.
