Grupa Żywiec has agreed to sell the Browar Leżajsk brewery to Mycofeast, facilitating the latter's entry into the biotechnology sector with plans to leverage the facility's infrastructure for sustainable production.

Grupa Żywiec Sp. z o.o. has entered into an agreement with Mycofeast LTD for the sale of a former large-scale brewery located in Leżajsk, known as Browar Leżajsk. This facility was one of five beer production plants operated by Grupa Żywiec in Poland, with a production capacity of approximately 800,000 hectoliters of beer as of 2021. In February 2023, Grupa Żywiec announced a reorganization of its production operations, and subsequently halted beer production at Browar Leżajsk by the end of August 2023. Following this, the sale process was initiated, with Vienna Capital Partners appointed as the exclusive financial advisor to Grupa Żywiec.
