Kuoni Schweiz has acquired the travel business of the Touring Club Schweiz (TCS), effective December 1, 2009. This acquisition includes the integration of 10 travel agencies and the production of travel offerings under the brand 'Reisen TCS.' In collaboration with TCS, Kuoni plans to continue providing attractive and tailored vacation products to TCS members, ensuring their offerings are available at approximately 100 Kuoni and Helvetic Tours travel agencies across Switzerland.
The deal will maintain employment for between 65 and 75 staff members, including all 12 apprentices from the 'Reisen TCS' division. The existing travel agencies will be transformed into Kuoni branches, allowing for a seamless transition of services and further enhancement of the travel products provided, such as 'Travel Club' and 'Wunderwelt,' accompanied by benefits for TCS members.
