Product · Likely Buyers

Find the buyers most likely to be in for a deal.

Type a target company name and Dealert pre-fills industry, geography and size — or skip the lookup and set the filters yourself. Either way you get the strategic and financial buyers most likely to be relevant, drawn from historical acquisition patterns.

Available on Starter and Pro plans.
Two ways to start

Type a name, or set the filters yourself.

A
Start with a company name

Type a target — we'll pre-fill the rest.

Dealert looks up the target, classifies it against the sector hierarchy, identifies its country and infers a size band. You can review and edit every pre-filled value before running the search.

B
Set the filters yourself

Skip the name and define the profile directly.

Useful when you don't have a single anchor target, or when you want to search for a buyer pool against a custom industry-and-geography slice. Every filter is the same one used in the database directly.

How it works

Three steps from target to shortlist.

01

Describe the target — by name or by filters

Type the target name and Dealert pre-fills industry, country and size band from the database. Or skip the name and set industry, country, size band and (optionally) deal type yourself. Both paths produce the same shortlist.

02

Match against history

Dealert scans every buyer that has done at least one transaction matching your filters. Strategic and financial buyers are both included, with the type clearly labelled.

03

Use the shortlist

Each buyer comes with a short reasoning line and the supporting precedent transactions behind it, so you can defend the list in a kickoff meeting or check it against your own teaser distribution.

Use cases

Three jobs Likely Buyers does well.

Sell-side adviser

Build the teaser distribution list.

Generate a ranked shortlist of strategic and financial buyers for a mandate. Cross-check against your relationship map, and add or drop names with a clear rationale.

Buy-side

Map the competitive set.

Before a process opens, see who else has bought into the same niche. Use the historical patterns to size your offer relative to the buyer pool.

Corp dev

Find adjacent acquirers.

When a non-core unit comes up for sale, surface the strategics and sponsors most likely to be interested — and the deal history that backs that up.

For every buyer in the shortlist

What you get per row.

Match score
Single percentage that captures how well the buyer fits the target's profile. Higher = stronger fit on industry, geography, size and recent activity.
Strength label
Very High / High / Medium / Low — a quick visual cue that summarises the score and the buyer's supporting deal count.
Buyer type
Strategic or Financial, with sub-type where known (PE, VC, family office, infrastructure, etc.).
Reasoning
Why this buyer scored where it did — sector activity, geographic focus, size-band history, recency.
Supporting precedents
Up to three named transactions per buyer with target, date, geography and sector — the deals that anchored the score.
Export
CSV of the full shortlist with supporting deals included as cells — usable directly in a deal memo or pitch appendix.
