In 2024, Upvest has successfully financed a total of CZK 3.17 billion in real estate projects while expanding its market position through strategic acquisitions and partnerships.
Target Information
In 2024, Upvest has solidified its position as a leading provider of private debt capital for real estate projects initiated by prominent Czech development groups. The company continues to expand aggressively, having successfully completed one of the most significant transactions in the Czech real estate market—acquiring a stake in Centrum Černý Most. This acquisition led to a joint venture with Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield and is a cornerstone of Upvest's private equity strategy. In 2024, Upvest arranged and provided debt financing of CZK 2.164 billion, with total investments amounting to CZK 1.856 billion by shareholders, of which CZK 1.006 billion was contributed through Upvest itself. This culminated in a total financing volume of CZK 3.17 billion, representing a remarkable increase of 136.7% compared to 2023, alongside distributing CZK 857 million to investors.
As the financed amount grew, Upvest's revenues also increased, reaching CZK 136.7 million for the year 2024, pending confirmation from a current audit. Contributing to this impressive annual revenue growth were three main factors: the return of liquidity to the residential market, enabling increased debt capacity for residential projects; the acquisition of additional quality partners among developers, notably collaborations with CPI Property Group for their Clarion Congress Hotel Brno, OC Nisa, and Kolbenova Park projects; and the acquisition of a 25% share in the prestigious Centrum Černý Most, backed by investment group RSJ through the establishment of the qualified investor fund CCM SICAV a.s.
