L’Albero del Pane S.r.l, a prominent player in the production and distribution of baked goods, has been acquired by Unigrains and BNP Paribas BNL Equity Investments. Founded in 1979 by the Tedesco family, the company specializes in a diverse range of products including biscuits, croissants, fresh pastries, seasonal baked goods, and bread substitutes. With three production plants covering approximately 40,000 sqm and a workforce of around 230 employees, L’Albero del Pane and its subsidiary, Tedesco S.r.l, achieved a remarkable turnover of roughly €63 million in 2024.
Approximately 45% of the company's revenues were generated through their own brands, and they exported around 30% of total revenue to more than 70 countries. Key commercial brands include Ore Liete, GranArt, and Piselli. The acquisition positions L’Albero del Pane for new growth avenues, including potential acquisitions in a dynamic and fragmented market, enhancing their ability to leverage expertise in production and sourcing.
