Deal summary

Information on the target

In late 2017, con|cess Bonn was mandated to sell a highly successful wholesaler of fruits and vegetables. Founded 30 years ago by two owners, the company has evolved into an established key player in the market, generating approximately €36 million in revenue and employing around 120 staff members. The owners decided to sell the business after a long and successful tenure, as they lacked family successors to take over the company.

Utilizing con|cess's extensive advisor network, which has been established for over 20 years and includes approximately 2,500 potential buyers in its database, a longlist of several dozen interested parties was quickly compiled. Through numerous preliminary discussions, con|cess M&A partners Lutz Lehmann and Manfred Rinderer identified a shortlist of about ten relevant buyers, leading to initial conversations based on a detailed and transparent exposé.
