On April 19, Ultracargo signed a contract to acquire a 50% stake in Opla, currently owned by Copersucar. Upon completion of this acquisition, Ultracargo and BP will jointly control Opla, enhancing their influence in the ethanol logistics sector.
Founded in 2017, Opla is the largest independent ethanol terminal in Brazil, strategically located in Paulínia, São Paulo. The terminal provides integrated storage and logistics solutions through rail, pipeline, and road transport modalities, optimizing the supply chain for ethanol distribution.
