The Silver Economy Fund has successfully acquired 100% of the shares of Mir - Medical International Research, a leading company in the field of spirometry. The shares were previously owned by Aksia Sgr, Overseas Industries, founder Siro Brugnoli, Giovanni Carlino, and the management team. This acquisition was finalized in collaboration with co-investors including Turenne Santé, Eurazeo, BNP Paribas BNL Equity Investments, Entheos, and Muzinich & Co. The new CEO and CTO of Mir, Roberta Di Pinto and Adriano Mencarini, respectively, will also reinvest in the company, thus maintaining their roles within the organization.
Founded in Rome in 1993, Mir is a global leader in the spirometry market, offering both professional and personal use solutions. The company promotes early diagnosis and monitoring of major respiratory diseases and provides an integrated diagnostic platform that includes medical devices such as oximeters, spirometers, and single-use respiratory turbines, alongside proprietary software capable of real-time monitoring of vital signs.
