Saica Group has acquired part of FCC Ámbito's operations in Spain, enhancing its recovery network for paper and cardboard across seven plants.
Target Information
Saica Group has expanded its recovery network in Spain through the acquisition of a portion of FCC Ámbito's business, specifically focusing on the recovery of paper and cardboard. This acquisition includes seven plants located in the central, northern, and western regions of the Iberian Peninsula, employing over 150 individuals and generating annual revenues exceeding 30 million euros. Saica Natur, the waste management and environmental services division of Saica Group, has executed this operation.
The acquired business primarily focuses on recovering not only paper and cardboard but also other non-hazardous industrial and commercial waste. This strategic move allows Saica to enhance its operational capabilities in Madrid, Cáceres, Valladolid, Asturias, Vizcaya, León, and Toledo. The addition of these facilities elevates Saica Natur's portfolio to 47 plants, including 36 in Spain and others in France, Portugal, the UK, and Poland.
