Information on the Target
PTTEP has recently expanded its investment in Malaysia by entering into a strategic partnership with TotalEnergies to acquire a 49.99% interest in AzurVista Resources Pte. Ltd. (AzurVista Resources), a subsidiary of TotalEnergies. This acquisition grants PTTEP an indirect participating interest of 9.998% in the SK408 block, a key natural gas and condensate field located in shallow waters off the coast of Malaysia. Currently, the SK408 block produces approximately 750 million standard cubic feet of natural gas and 15,000 barrels of condensate per day.
This investment not only boosts PTTEP's production capabilities but also contributes significantly to their overall petroleum reserves. Moreover, there are plans to increase production in the future, which aligns with PTTEP's strategy to enhance its operational footprint in Malaysia.
