SUNfarming has successfully secured a PLN 118 million loan from PKO Bank Polski to refinance its solar projects in Poland, marking a significant step in expanding its presence in the country's growing renewable energy market.
Target Information
SUNfarming, a prominent Independent Power Producer (IPP) based in Germany, has successfully secured a senior term loan facility amounting to PLN 118 million. This financing will be utilized to refinance a robust portfolio of solar photovoltaic (PV) projects totaling a capacity of 40 MWp across various regions in Poland. The portfolio’s revenue stream is fortified by a 15-year Contract for Difference (CfD), ensuring stable financial backing. The financing package was exclusively arranged by PKO Bank Polski, demonstrating confidence in SUNfarming's significant presence in the region.
The “Nova” portfolio encompasses 43 individual solar projects, with each project averaging 1 MWp. The completion of the construction phase is anticipated by the end of this year, after which the portfolio will enter its operational phase. The CfD, secured through the 2020 solar auction organized by URE, will provide long-term financial stability for these projects.
