SUSI Partners has secured Euro-denominated senior debt for a 167 MW Polish solar PV and wind portfolio, marking an important milestone for Luneos Green Energy's strategic growth in the renewable sector.
Target Information
SUSI Partners, a Swiss fund manager that specializes in sustainable energy infrastructure investments, has successfully secured a Euro-denominated senior debt package for a significant Polish solar photovoltaic (PV) and onshore wind portfolio. This portfolio consists of 167 megawatts (MW) and has been financed through an arrangement with Swedish P Capital Partners (PCP). The funding marks an essential step in the strategic growth plan for Luneos Green Energy (LGE), a portfolio company under the SUSI Energy Transition Fund (SETF), which has developed a project pipeline exceeding 1 gigawatt (GW) since its formation in 2021. Capcora, a consulting firm based in Germany, acted as the exclusive financial advisor during this transaction.
The construction for most projects is expected to commence in early 2024, with anticipation that the solar PV and wind projects will be completely operational by early 2025. These initiatives have been brought to readiness by LGE, a joint venture initiated in late 2021, which combines the expertise of SUSI with Luneos, a top player in the Polish energy transition landscape focusing on business customers.
