Penta Investments, the owner of the retail chain Zabka, has entered into an agreement to acquire a 100% stake in the PR market, which operates under the brand name Koruna. Koruna is a well-established entity in the Czech Republic, running 45 supermarkets primarily located in the Northern Moravia and Silesia region. Each of these supermarkets averages around 380 square meters in size and offers a diverse range of grocery, dry goods, and additional products.
Founded in 1994 by eight private Czech individuals, Koruna has demonstrated stable growth over the years. In 2009, the company reported revenues of approximately EUR 50 million and currently employs around 600 staff members. Under the new ownership of Penta Investments, Koruna aims to enhance its operations and expand its market presence.
