HOERBIGER is divesting its reed valve business to Nimbus, a well-established European industrial holding company known for its 20-year track record in managing a diverse portfolio of industrial firms. This transaction encompasses HOERBIGER Kompressortechnik GmbH (HKS) located in Schongau, Germany, along with segments of HOERBIGER Valves in Changzhou, China, and the reed valve operations in India. The business specializes in high-performance compressor components, crucial for refrigeration applications and mobile brake air compression.
As part of the acquisition, Nimbus will inherit approximately 300 employees from the reed valve segment, with about 270 based at the Schongau facility. The decision to sell was strategically considered by HOERBIGER's management, aiming to provide the team with better growth prospects under Nimbus’s ownership.
