Information on the target
Natland has acquired a 99.99% stake in Energo Příbram, s.r.o., previously known as Mincom CZ, s.r.o., which operates the Příbram heating plant. This facility boasts an installed capacity of 138 MW of heat and 44 MW of electricity, providing heating to over ten thousand households through an 18-kilometer distribution network. Additionally, the plant supplies steam to various businesses, including the local hospital in Příbram.
In the summer of 2019, Natland financed the conclusion of a more than two-decade-long bankruptcy process for the heating plant, initially acquiring a one-third ownership stake. By December 2019, a general meeting approved a capital increase of 100 million CZK from Natland, granting the investment group a decisive majority. This investment is part of a comprehensive renovation and modernization plan for the heating plant following years of insolvency, allowing for the use of more environmentally friendly fuels, such as wood chips, instead of coal.
