METLEN, through its M Technologies Sector, has acquired the property and mechanical equipment of NK Trailers, a well-established dual industrial facility. This acquisition marks the company's sixth production unit within the M Technologies Hub located in Volos, Greece. NK Trailers has a history of producing both defense systems and railway wagons, fields that are expected to face significant production demands, especially with ongoing efforts to modernize the railway network and its essential components.
The newly acquired facility encompasses two modern steel industrial buildings, spanning approximately 26,900 square meters, situated on adjacent plots totaling over 47,000 square meters in Volos Industrial Area B. The investment totals €10 million, with an additional €30 to €40 million allocated for partial refurbishment and new equipment installation.
