Leonardo S.p.A. has secured a multi-year extension for in-service support in relation to the Kuwait Air Force’s Eurofighter Typhoon fleet, which is part of a broader strategic partnership with the Kuwaiti Ministry of Defence. Under the terms of the newly signed contract, Leonardo Aviation Services will deliver integrated Logistics Support and Training locally at Salem Al Sabah Base until December 2029. This extension aligns with a 2016 contract that saw Kuwait acquire 28 Eurofighter Typhoons to bolster its air defense capability. The deliveries commenced at the end of 2021, and the majority of these advanced aircraft are now operational.
The Eurofighter Typhoons, manufactured in Italy, are equipped with cutting-edge technology and are pivotal for national security in Kuwait. Leonardo Aviation Services is dedicated to facilitating the operational efficiency of these aircraft by providing a comprehensive range of services, including Engineering Support, Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul & Upgrade, and Supply Chain Management, along with extensive training for both air and ground crew.
