INVL Private Equity Fund II has successfully acquired a 75% stake in Eesti Keskkonnateenused (EKT), the largest waste management and environmental services group in Estonia. This acquisition represents INVL's inaugural investment in Estonia. EKT's management team will continue to hold a 25% stake in the company, ensuring continuity and stability within the leadership structure. This strategic move allows INVL to enhance its footprint in the circular economy sector and complements its previous investment in Eco Baltia, which it successfully developed into the largest recycling and resource management group in the Baltics.
In 2024, EKT employed around 800 professionals and generated revenues of €77 million. The company offers a diverse portfolio of environmental services, including waste collection, recycling, hazardous waste management, and street cleaning, thereby positioning itself as a leader in sustainable practices within Estonia.
