Target Overview
BaltCap, the leading private equity and venture capital investor in the Baltic region, has agreed to invest in a consortium of waste management companies, which include AS Eesti Keskkonnateenused and Epler & Lorenz AS (collectively referred to as EKT or the Group). Through this investment, BaltCap Private Equity Fund II will acquire a 75% stake in the Group, while the management team will retain a 25% ownership interest.
According to Peeter Saks, Managing Partner at BaltCap, the firm is enthusiastic about fostering the Group's future growth, highlighting the increasing significance of environmental services within the industrial, construction, and municipal sectors. EKT's strong reputation for reliability, security, and quality among clients positions it well for further development in Estonia, both through organic growth and strategic acquisitions. Additionally, this investment aligns with BaltCap's recent acquisition of Ecoservice, the largest waste management firm in Lithuania.
