The Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), the largest hospitality organization in India, has announced the signing of a Taj hotel in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, in collaboration with the Solitaire Group. This project will be a brownfield development, situated on a sprawling 7.2 acres and featuring 300 luxury rooms, including 29 exclusive villas, under the prestigious Taj brand. The hotel is scheduled to open in 2026 and aims to enhance the luxury accommodation options available to pilgrims and tourists visiting Ayodhya.

The newly planned Taj Ayodhya will include an all-day diner, two specialty restaurants, a J Wellness Circle spa, a gym, a swimming pool, and a kid's club. Additionally, expansive banqueting facilities covering over 34,000 square feet will be available for events and celebrations. The hotel's strategic location near the Lucknow-Ayodhya Highway places it approximately 20 minutes from the revered Ram Mandir.
