Positive Planet International has joined Groupe SOS to strengthen its efforts in combating poverty and supporting positive entrepreneurship globally.
Target Information
Positive Planet International (PPI) is a non-governmental organization that was previously a branch of the Positive Planet collective, founded in 1998 by Jacques Attali. PPI's primary focus has been to combat poverty globally by promoting economic inclusion and supporting positive entrepreneurship initiatives, particularly in Africa and the Middle East. The organization has successfully aided over 2 million beneficiaries worldwide through various programs designed to foster sustainable economic development.
In recent years, however, PPI faced operational challenges exacerbated by the COVID-19 crisis, which limited movement and diminished funding sources. In response, prolonged discussions led to PPI transferring its operations to the Groupe SOS, Europe's leading social enterprise engaged in social and solidarity economy efforts.
