The target company, Via Claudia Camping, is a picturesque 5-star camping site located near the Lech River, close to the Alps and along the historic Roman road, Via Claudia Augusta. It has gained popularity over the years among both German regulars and Nordic tourists, receiving about 15% of all overnight stays at First Camp locations from German guests. The site recorded a revenue of approximately €3.6 million in 2024 and is managed by a dedicated team of 24 permanent employees, supported seasonally by 21 additional staff from 13 different nations.
The management, led by Felicitas Weeber, will remain in place, ensuring continuity and preserving the unique guest experience that has made Via Claudia a favored destination. The campsite will continue to operate under its existing name and online presence, allowing guests to enjoy their stays uninterrupted while utilizing the booking system of First Camp.
