La Ferme Tournevent has secured a long-term agricultural lease through a partnership with UPA-Fondaction agricultural trust, enabling it to focus more on food processing while preserving agricultural land for sustainable use.
Target Information
La Ferme Tournevent is a family-owned business established in 2008, specializing in organic and gluten-free products. The farm is located in Hébertville, Lac-Saint-Jean, and cultivates a variety of crops including canola, industrial hemp, camelina, golden and brown flax, buckwheat, yellow peas, lentils, as well as garlic and garlic flowers. In addition to its agricultural production, the farm features a grain sorting and cleaning center, as well as cold-press facilities for producing organic oils distributed in grocery stores across Quebec.
This partnership with UPA-Fondaction agricultural trust will allow La Ferme Tournevent to secure a long-term supply of land, enabling the company to allocate more financial resources to its food processing activities rather than land acquisition costs.
