On December 5, 2017, PSN Enam, a special purpose vehicle subsidiary of PT Pasifik Satelit Nusantara (PSN), conducted a signing ceremony in Jakarta for a limited recourse project finance loan amounting to $230 million. This funding, sourced from Export Development Canada (EDC), supports the PSN VI Satellite Project. PSN, recognized as the first private entity in Indonesia's telecommunications and information services sector, is embarking on its first satellite development with the PSN VI project, which showcases advanced technology capabilities.
The financial close for the EDC loan was successfully achieved on October 25, 2017. The financing aims to facilitate the construction of a cutting-edge C-band/Ku-HTS satellite, which is being developed by SSL, a subsidiary of Maxar Technologies. The satellite is slated for a launch by SpaceX in late 2018 to its designated orbital slot of 146 E.
