EEI Power Corporation has partnered with Dagupan Doctors Villaflor Memorial Hospital to install a solar PV rooftop system, projected to save the hospital Php 20 million in electricity costs over 25 years while reducing carbon emissions significantly.
Target Information
EEI Power Corporation (EEIPC), a subsidiary of EEI Corporation, has recently entered into a strategic partnership with Dagupan Doctors Villaflor Memorial Hospital (DDVMH) to construct a 145.2 kWp solar photovoltaic (PV) rooftop system in the Mayombo District of Dagupan City. The system will consist of 264 units of 550-watt peak monocrystalline solar panels, which are expected to generate an average annual energy output of 183,680 kWh. This initiative aims not only to enhance energy efficiency for DDVMH but also to significantly reduce carbon emissions by approximately 128 metric tons each year, equivalent to the environmental benefit of planting 2,150 trees.
The projected lifespan of the solar PV system is 25 years, during which it is estimated to yield savings of up to Php 20 million in electricity costs for DDVMH. This collaboration illustrates both organizations' commitment to integrating sustainable energy solutions in the healthcare sector, thereby contributing to broader efforts to combat climate change.
