Easton Group has successfully acquired Andrew Wright Windows, salvaging a significant Scottish business that has been a staple in the glazing industry for decades. The acquisition comes after Andrew Wright Glass Limited and Andrew Wright Windows Limited fell into provisional liquidation on August 6, 2025, resulting in the immediate closure of the company and the loss of over 80 jobs. Following the acquisition, the company will continue to operate under the Easton Group but will retain its identity as an independent brand, thereby preserving its rich history and legacy within the Scottish market.
Founded in 1937, Andrew Wright Windows has a storied past that includes notable projects such as glazing the Kelvin Hall in Glasgow and serving as the main glazing contractor during the British Empire Exhibition in 1938. The company has made significant contributions to the region, including efforts to reglaze Belfast post-Blitz and pioneering innovation by introducing the Stuga automated high output cutting machine to Scotland. The revival of Andrew Wright Windows will bring back many jobs as the factories in Irvine resume operations.
