Freiberg Gruppen has divested its mineral extraction operations to the Danish branch of the international company Colas. The transaction, completed on October 2, 2023, involves Colas Danmark AS acquiring Freiberg Grusgrave A/S, which includes operations at two gravel pits located in Uge and Rødekro. This takeover encompasses the associated office, workshop, equipment, customer portfolio, and 14 employees who will continue their roles at the gravel sites.
Under the new management structure, Helmut Callesen, the current director, will transition to the role of sales manager for Colas’ gravel operations in Denmark, working closely with and reporting to Niels Fosgrau, Colas’ gravel operations manager.
