HBI, an Italian company renowned for its pioneering polygenerative technology for the treatment of sewage sludge within the framework of a circular economy, has announced a capital increase of up to €15 million aimed at attracting a group of new investors. This Series A investment round is led by CDP Venture Capital, along with the Green Transition Fund—which utilizes resources provided by the EU through the NextGeneration EU initiative—and the Evoluzione Fund.
The investment pool also includes prominent entrepreneur Bruno De Guio, Finanziaria Internazionale Investments, the Finint group’s asset management company, and several other investors such as the Bizac and Afra holding companies, along with manager Gabriele Mazzoletti. They join existing stakeholders, including Founder and CEO Daniele Basso, who remains the primary shareholder, co-founder Renato Pavanetto, NovaCapital, the holding company chaired by Paolo Merloni, Carretta, Next Generation Venture, and Roleo.
