Target Information
BNP Paribas Group has announced it has entered exclusive negotiations with AXA to acquire 100% of AXA Investment Managers (AXA IM), which manages approximately €850 billion in assets. As part of this transaction, BNP Paribas Cardif, the insurance division of BNP Paribas Group, is expected to hand over the management of its insurance and savings assets, amounting to €160 billion, to the newly formed investment platform.
By integrating the asset management platforms of BNP Paribas, the combined entity will hold a total of €1,500 billion in assets under management. This merger is poised to position them among the top leaders in the European market, particularly in long-term savings management for insurance companies and pension funds, leveraging robust platforms for both listed and private assets.
