Imperial Logistics Group has announced a proposed 25% B-BBEE shareholding transaction to enhance its transformation efforts and competitiveness in the South African market.
Target Information
The Imperial Logistics Group South Africa Proprietary Limited (ILSA) is a subsidiary of Imperial, which will consolidate most of the Group's operations in South Africa following a significant transaction. The company is known for its focus on logistics and supply chain solutions within the region and aims to enhance its operations by incorporating a robust Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) strategy. This proposal entails a 25% B-BBEE shareholding involving key stakeholders such as Afropulse, Willowton, and Converting Trade.
Converting Trade currently holds a 25% share in Imperial Logistics Advance Proprietary Limited (ILA), of which Afropulse has a 61% stake and Willowton owns 39%. Both Afropulse and Willowton are recognized as black women-owned entities, with Willowton being affiliated with one of South Africa's major FMCG manufacturers.
