Imperial Logistics has partnered with Afropulse Group to form Imperial Logistics Advance, focusing on energy, mining, and chemicals, as part of its commitment to B-BBEE and sustainable economic growth in South Africa.
Target Information
Imperial Logistics, a prominent player in the logistics sector, has continuously championed sustainable economic growth and social development in South Africa since the introduction of the first Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) Codes in 2007. The organization’s primary goals include promoting diversity and inclusion in the workplace, aligning its workforce and leadership with national demographics, and striving for genuine transformation through its Employment Equity Plan and B-BBEE Scorecard.
In response to the complexity of divesting 30% of its South African operations to a B-BBEE partner, Imperial opted to structure a smaller transaction. As part of this process, a new entity, Imperial Logistics Advance, was created. This entity encompasses specific business units within Imperial Logistics South Africa, focusing on industries such as energy, mining, and chemicals.
