Aker BP ASA and DNO ASA have entered into strategic agreements to enhance Aker BP's operational presence in the Alvheim region and expedite the development of the Kjøttkake discovery.
Target Information
Aker BP ASA and DNO ASA have strengthened their collaborative efforts through a series of agreements that enhance Aker BP's position within the Alvheim area and expedite the development of the Kjøttkake discovery. As a result of these agreements, Aker BP will take over operatorship of the Kjøttkake project during its development phase. This transition enables Aker BP to utilize its expertise in fast-track development to optimize project execution.
The agreements further stipulate the exchange of ownership interests across various licenses, with Aker BP divesting its interest in the Verdande field to DNO. In exchange, Aker BP will increase its stake in the Vilje field and expand its holdings in the Kveikje discovery while also acquiring additional interests in several exploration licenses. This strategic exchange reinforces Aker BP's operational footprint in both the Alvheim and Kjøttkake areas, fostering opportunities for integrated development, including potential tie-back solutions to existing infrastructure.
