Airbus SE has successfully finalized the acquisition of several industrial assets from Spirit AeroSystems, aimed at bolstering its commercial aircraft programs. This significant milestone, announced on December 8, 2025, will add more than 4,000 employees to Airbus's workforce, enhancing its operational capabilities in key areas crucial to aircraft production.
Among the assets acquired are production facilities for A350 fuselage sections in Kinston, North Carolina, and Saint-Nazaire, France, as well as components for the A321 and A220 in Casablanca, Morocco. This acquisition not only increases Airbus's production capacity but also strengthens its supply chain management by integrating these critical facilities.
