As part of the sale, AES Wind Generation, a subsidiary of The AES Corporation, acquired a 51% stake in a 353 MW wind portfolio from Polish developer Wind Projects. Construction on this segment is slated to commence next year, with completion anticipated by the end of 2014. This strategic investment positions AES to significantly enhance its presence in the Polish wind energy market.
