CARBIOS, a company based in France, has partnered with China’s Wankai New Materials, a subsidiary of Zhink Group, to establish a joint venture for the industrial implementation of CARBIOS’ advanced biorecycling technology aimed at polyethylene terephthalate (PET) plastics in Asia. This collaboration marks a significant step towards sustainable waste management solutions, focusing specifically on PET waste recycling.

The newly formed joint venture will commence operations with a biorecycling facility in Haining, Zhejiang province, China. This plant will have the capacity to process 50,000 tons of PET waste annually, contributing to the reduction of plastic pollution and fostering a circular economy.
