Target Information
TIP Brasil has announced an investment of R$ 500 million towards the acquisition, modernization, and expansion of a data center located in Campinas. This initiative represents the company’s entry into a strategic segment aimed at internet service providers, government bodies, and corporations in need of robust infrastructure for data storage, processing, and circulation. The facility, set to be inaugurated in November 2025, will have the capacity for up to two thousand racks, significantly enhancing the availability of colocation and cloud services in the Brazilian market.
The data center will encompass approximately twenty thousand square meters and will undergo a comprehensive retrofit to achieve Tier 3 certification. The planned upgrades include the installation of fire-resistant raised flooring, enhancements to the uninterruptible power supply systems, and modifications to the cooling equipment. Existing three-megawatt Caterpillar generators will remain in operation, with an initial power supply of ten megawatts, expanding in accordance with contractual engagements. The company aims to implement its own generation by 2026.
