(THVP), based in Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture, has implemented an investment of 100 million yen through its THVP-2 Limited Partnership, which includes Tohoku University as a general partner. The recipient of this investment is BIH Co., Ltd., a startup established to commercialize technologies developed by the Next-Generation Battery Research Laboratory at Yamagata University.
BIH is currently collaborating with automotive, battery, and materials manufacturers to commercialize a novel semi-solid battery technology. This initiative aims to address critical challenges in energy storage and electric vehicle safety, particularly as the world shifts towards decarbonization.
