Probabl has raised €13 million in seed funding to expand its open-source software solutions for artificial intelligence, positioning itself as a leader in the European market.
Target Information
Probabl, a mission-driven company originating from Inria's P16 project and the publisher of scikit-learn, the world's most widely used machine learning library (with over 2.5 billion downloads), has announced a successful seed funding round of €13 million. This round was jointly led by Serena and Capital Fund Management, with continuous support from Mozilla Ventures and French Tech Souveraineté, managed by Bpifrance as part of the France 2030 plan. With this latest funding, Probabl's total seed financing amounts to €18.5 million, establishing it as the largest European seed raise in the commercial open-source software (COSS) sector.
The company's primary goal is to transition data science from artisanal practices to industrial-grade solutions, enabling businesses to regain control over their data science processes. Probabl aims to establish a transparent, reliable, and measurable approach to machine learning, transforming it into a true competitive advantage rather than an opaque asset.
