Facing financial challenges, Eco.Déchets entered receivership on May 2, 2024. Recently, the Lyon Commercial Court ruled on July 25, 2024, to approve the sale of its municipal and biowaste collection contracts to Sepur, a company poised to enhance its regional footprint in the North-East of France.

The acquisition comprises waste collection contracts serving 20 local authorities, ensuring operational continuity and a commitment to maintain service standards amidst the transition. Sepur's takeover will facilitate the retention of Eco.Déchets’ employees, further reinforcing its local presence and community engagement.
